The Idea

You may be saying, "I thought this site was selling guitar picks made of recycled pop tabs!"

That's a great idea!  But there's better uses for those recycled pop tabs! :) 

Honestly, the original idea wasn't far off.  One day I decided I should practice my 'picking' skills, but I didn't have a guitar pick on me.  What I did have was a pop tab in my pocket that I was planning to donate.  I might be crazy, but that pop tab felt better to hold in my fat fingers than a real guitar pick and made my playing sound better!  Back me up if you know what I'm talking about.   :)

Then the idea hit me. What if I could start a charitable project that would increase the number of donated pop tabs?! But how? And what would I call it? 

I kept thinking about it and this was the plan I came up with: 

1. call it 'Pop Tab Picks'

2. design a cool logo

3. build a website to help raise money for a great organization

4. increase exposure until it goes viral

5. team up with the Ronald McDonald House to start a campaign that gives out limited-edition guitar picks in exchange for a pre-determined value of donated pop tabs  

6. find a celebrity rock star to become a spokesperson for the charity who uses a pop tab pick in concert

7. partner with a beverage company to manufacturer 'collector's edition' pop tabs and distribute them in specially marked cases.  YASSSSS! 

8. have the beverage company make a 'GOLDEN TAB' like Willy Wonka did and if it's donated, that house gets a large donation from the beverage company. DOUBLE YASSSSS!!!
